1. A few combat questions.... - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
The target can be harder to hit inside your optimal range if you can't track fast enough. Damage is unaffected. You always want to keep moving especially in a frigate. That said, an alpha strike while standing still can give you a quick kill.

2. Mining Tips? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Originally by: Quednau Does anyone know what the best ore I can mine with an entry level mining laser (say something that'll fit on a 300,000 isk or less ship) and where can I find it? You can mine anything but ice. It takes longer wit...

3. Weapon Fitting Question - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
All NPC's seem to be weak against the damage type that the local race gets a bonus to. This means Explosive for Angels, Thermal for Serpentis, EM for Sansha's/Blood Raiders, and Kinetic for Guristas.

4. A few questions about rigs - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
just wondering what's a good number of sales per day for rigs. In my region it seems 1 or 2 is the norm for most items.

5. A few questions about rigs - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I'm new to rigs also. I don't think it's worth building or buying them as a newbie. It seems to me that if you could gather enough parts yourself you could make a big one off profit. As a newbie it seems awfully slow process. Some of the parts the...

6. List of recommended upgrades? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I would say a shield booster/armor repairer and an afterburner are must haves no matter what your doing starting out.

7. Mining Barge Skill - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
This is not like other RPG's. There is no tech tree like usual. You buy the next skills.

8. kill or be killed? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Orbiting and pasting from long range that's what caldari are pretty good at. Take the time with tech 1 frigates to learn what each race's ship is good at. Work to be good with them and the bigger ships will be more fun to fly.

9. kill or be killed? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
You can probably get into a condor your first day by mining and doing courier missions even. Start working on your gunnery and small turret skills. Aim for a kestrel or merlin fast because the condor is a weak ship for missions.

10. I Can't hit a thing - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Use medium rails which seem to hit frigates well enough. Keep them at range. Also you can use light scout drones as an alternative.

11. Help picking Gallente cruiser - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I'd like to know what you're using the scientific equipment for before suggesting a ship. If you're doing combat missions either the vexor or thorax are good. Its been awhile, but I remember the vexor being easier to use with low skills.

12. sell loot ? - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
I would reprocess. Builders can charge lower because it costs less to make the module. You can be one of those guys that severely drops the price to sell it quickly, but it's not going to be a lot of money and you'll **** off builders like me.

13. Being a better fighter pilot - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Orbiting is good but you get ganged up on in PvE. I'm thinking of experimenting with manually flying perpendicular to my target so you still get a high transverse but aren't surrounded by enemies.

15. Smartbombs - dangerous to use? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
Smartbombs in this game are really energy pulses. FoF missles should be called smartbombs really.

16. Poisoning the Chalice: Smartbombs as a Counter to Nos. - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
How about smartbombs cause a negative capacitor recharge rate relative to size of the unit and whether its named or tech 2. Then a squadron of interceptors could drain a big ship but one alone would be ineffective.

17. Why is Amarr space so empty ? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
I chose Amarr for roleplaying reasons. They are similar to ancient rome/persia and also the Romulans from Star Trek. I know their ships are weak for now, but I think they look the best. For now I like living in the empty countryside rather than th...

18. Possibly making a new character? - in EVE New Citizens Q&A [original thread]
